About Autoscience
Autoscience is building automated machine-learning research scientists. Academically, our agents generate novel research insights; commercially, we specialize them to continuously improve customers’ ML models (faster, cheaper, more performant) in parallel at scale. We’re early, scrappy, and growing quickly.
The role
This is the non-technical “catch-all” that keeps Autoscience moving. You’ll own the most important work that isn’t writing code—switching between company operations, recruiting, design partnerships, GTM enablement, and special projects. If you like wearing many hats, building systems from zero, and making high-leverage decisions daily, you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll do
- Drive cross-functional projects that unblock eng/product (legal, finance, vendor management).
- Build and run our hiring engine
- Stand up and manage our design-partner pipeline (prospect, outreach, coordinate trials/feedback, maintain CRM/notes).
- Plan and execute an upcoming product launch event (venue, invite list, vendors, run-of-show).
- Spin up foundational ops cadence (weekly exec reviews, OKRs, all-hands, investor updates, docs/SOPs).
- Relationship owner for early customers/design partners: agendas, success criteria, feedback to product/eng.
- Lead office search & move-in (Peninsula), negotiate lease/vendors, set up IT/facilities.
- Establish lightweight people ops: onboarding, policies, vendors (benefits, payroll, immigration counsel).
- Scale GTM/partnership ops; help convert design partners into customers.
Responsibilities (ongoing)
- Prioritize and execute the highest-leverage non-technical work each week.
- Create clarity from ambiguity: turn fuzzy goals into plans with owners, milestones, and metrics.
- Serve as a force multiplier for the CEO/CTO: prep meetings, drive follow-through, and communicate decisions.
- Maintain crisp external comms: partners, candidates, vendors, investors, community.
You may be a fit if you have
- 4–8+ years across operations, consulting, biz ops, product/growth ops, or generalist startup roles.
- Demonstrated ability to run toward chaos and ship—multiple hats, changing priorities, tight timelines.
- Experience with early customer programs (design partners, pilots, feedback cycles) is a plus.
Compensation & benefits
Competitive market compensation with a flexible cash/equity mix; benefits appropriate for an early-stage startup. (We can discuss specifics based on seniority and preference.)
